Shop Floor Data Capture

Prodman's Shop Floor Data Capture module is a quick method of capturing time information relating to activities on the factory floor. Employees are able to clock on and off jobs and the data automatically updates the correct job in Prodman. A small PC located on the factory floor and connected to the network is all that is required.

  • Technical Details

    The module has been designed to load on to any PC with Windows as long as it is attached to the network.

    A keyboard wedge barcode scanner (at extra cost) is installed between the PC and the keyboard.

    All the job card and employees barcodes are already set up in the standard system

    Manager section to monitor and correct errors globally before times are entered into Prodman.

    Simple keyboard operation suitable for the workshop environment - mouse not necessary.

    Operator can enter the data by the keyboard with out a barcode reader if required.

    Large easy to read screen prompts assist quick operation.

    The SFDC module does not use up any licences and can be installed on any number of PCs.

    Operation

    The following screen is used by the operator on the factory floor

    The following sequence of operations shows how simply an operator can clock on to a job

    1. Press the F1 key as per screen prompt

    2. Use the barcode reader to enter the prompts

    • Run or set time operation
    • Employee number
    • Work order number
    • Operation number
    • Work centre code

    3. Press F4 to start the clock

    The SDFC system will now time the operation
